Jimcity is correct. Anything you do to your feet, good or bad, will travel up to your back and hips. Proper foot support and good shoes are critical, but it make take you a few tries to find the ones that work for you. Don't exercise in shoes whose support has broken down, it's like begging on bended knees for trouble. Deep tissue muscle specific therapy with fascial release & MET should solve most of it.
