I had surgery for PF in 1995 and had a quick recovery and have had no problems since. I tried all the other relief measures but none worked. I now have PF in my other heel and am going to a Podiatrist. I have tried the shot and Physical Therapy, nothing has worked and think it is even worse! The podistrist says they do not do surgery anymore unless it's a last measure. I have just read all the insight from all of you and think I am going to demand the surgery. This is a really helpful site. One thing that has eleviated the pain a little during the day, which my podiatrist recommended, is wearing about a 2" heal. It takes the pressure off your heel. I bought a pair of Munroe slip on shoes at Nordstroms, although expensive at $169 they have made a big difference during the day and are really comfortable to walk in (and I have not worn heels in years!)
