orthodics

Postby pansy on Mon Mar 30, 2009 5:44 am

I have been using the custom orthodics for about a year now, I do wear them everyday, never go barefooted.
The night splints are so uncomfortable. After about 4 hours I can not wear them. I am in pain most of the time. My profession causes me to be on my feet most of the day. I do sit on a stool when I can. Has anyone used the good feet inserts. This pain is causing me to stay home off my feet most of the time. And the pain is stabbing even when I am off my feet. Any suggestions.

hi pansy,

i saw your previous post asking about the good feet orthotics. i too had custom orthotics, which did nothing for me except require that i wear lace-up shoes at all times (horrible in summer). then i
got the $200 3/4-length good feet (GF). they allowed me to wear any shoes and gave me somewhat more relief than the custom jobs (which i then threw out). i used the GF for several years, but now they sit unused in a drawer, because i discovered yogatoes (YT), which fixed my feet completely. today, no pain, no orthotics. (i do wear "good" shoes, tho: dansko clogs, birkenstock thongs, chaco sandals.)

search for my username, and you can read the many posts i've written about my experience w/ yogatoes - most recently here: http://www.plantar-fasciitis.org/talk/topic35.html.

my recommendation is definitely the $50 YT rather than the $200+ GF! (also, YT come w/ an
unlimited money-back guarantee, so you actually only risk the cost of shipping, while GF will only offer you a credit towards their other products if you are unhappy w/ your purchase.)

best, gina
