best inserts to buy

Postby bobt on Wed Jun 17, 2009 1:53 pm

I have had pf for 5 months now. Barely got my x-rays so dont know how those came out yet. Living on oral steriods and vicodin, also got a shot of some kind of steriod but still in pain. Ankle is really starting to hurt now as well as my foot.. Dont have insurance so have not went to a podiarict sp?> Was wondering what are the best inserts to buy for pf. Also was thinking about going to goodfeet to get orthotics and inserts also shoes custom made. But for 400 dollars and not sure if its going to work dont know whats the best route. Ordered my night splint. But kinda lost on inserts and shoes.. The doc said I have really flat feet and i need something with arch support for flat feet.. Anybody have any suggestions I would be greatfull.. Thank you) :D

I have suffered with PF for almost 4 years, trying all the traditional things, corizone shots, stretching, night splints, even accupunture. Nothing has helped me. The foot doctor recommended physical therapy but at $300 an hour I can not do it and my insurance will not pay it. I have looked into the goodfeet inserts but they are expensive. Have not had anyone on this forum talk about them. I just ordered information on some inserts called Feathersprings. They are also expensive at $200. But the concept looks good. I have recently been using a hot tub, and see a tiny improvement. The jets help to massage the knots in the heals. That is the only thing I can say has helped me.
