I'm headed for surgery and asking questions

Postby shamrockfan on Fri Oct 31, 2008 12:18 pm

I have an appointment for Weds. morning to meet with my orthopedic surgeon to discuss surgery. I have 1,000 questions, and this weekend I am going to write them all down. I want to see when he can schedule it. It's not a matter of if anymore, but when can I have the surgery done. I have had pain off and on for 10 years that has gotten progressively worse. And I have had constant pain since last winter. If anyone has good ideas for questions that I might miss, please post them here, and I will add them to my list and I can post his answers on Weds after my appointment.

Thanks everyone, It's been nice having an outlet of people who are experiencing the same issues.

hi cheryl,

before you head to surgery, _please_ read my post in the previous (pf) thread - and follow the
link there.

you may be able to avoid surgery, which has no guarantees - and you're only out $50 if it
doesn't work. (actually, the company will even refund your money, minus shipping!)

(i have a relative who wishes he had listened to me; he went ahead with foot surgery he was
assured would fix everything, had a very long recovery - and is now worse off.)

best, gina
