Postby margaretgeordie on Sun Mar 22, 2009 2:17 pm

Hi I do not know if i am suffering from this condition and was wondering if any one could help me :)

When i wake up in the morning my heels are really sore and when i get out of bed I almost have to shuffle but then they are ok after a few mins also my heels are really sore throughout the day particulary on the side of my feet.

It has been like this for about 6 months, I am slightly overweight and have been going to the gym.

What do you think my next steps should be

Thanks for your help :)

First of all according to what I have heard a person can only have 3 shots of cortisone in each foot/heel a year. I have dealt with plantar fascittis for a long time and is now affecting my calves. What one of my doctor says is to order a splint to wear at night. So I have ordered one for each foot. These keep your foot/ankle at a 90 degree angle which should help (I hope) the plantar fasciitis tighening up so much. I am going to try it as soon as those splints arrive. They can be ordered at several sites but I chose ones at Footsmart.com. Hope this helps a litt.e
