I've had plantar fasciitis for 4 months now, tried physiotherapy, acupuncture, orthotics from a store, etc. The only thing that has given me relief so far is the use of night splints and rest. I finally saw a podiatrist, and he said I am overpronating when i run on the subtalar joint, so he prescribed new orthotics, which i will soon receive (he didn't like the first set). He also mentioned, in addition to the orthotics, using low-energy ESWT as a treatment option, to restart the healing process. Anyone have any experience with this yet, if not, it may be a worthwhile option to try before surgery, as it is not invsasive and minimal side effects. One major con of it is $$. thanks
